Top 12 PPR Fantasy Football Rankings
These rankings are for PPR leagues. If you have start/sit questions or waiver wire pickups throughout the season, reach out!
QUARTERBACKS
- Josh Allen - The clear number one overall. Elite rushing ability in the most pass happy offense in the NFL.
- Justin Herbert - The offense should open up more as he is one of the best deep ball throwers in the league along with sneaky rush upside.
- Lamar Jackson - Ravens going back to run heavy offense and down two RB's already. Lamar will be running a lot which is what we want in our QB's.
- Patrick Mahomes - Losing Tyreek will hurt but Mahomes is still one of the best in the game. Pass heavy offense along with scrambling ability keeps him in the top five.
- Jalen Hurts - Was a borderline top five QB last year before getting hurt without doing much through the air. One of the best runners and added AJ Brown. Arrow pointing up here.
- Kyler Murray - On pace to be league MVP before getting hurt last year. Added former teammate Hollywood Brown and has been known to go on the run when things get tough.
- Trey Lance - Whether he is a good QB or not in real life doesn't diminish the sky high ceiling for Lance. Could be best mobile QB in the league under Shanahan.
- Russell Wilson - The weapons on the Broncos offense are top tier across the board. Before last year, has been a top five quarterback in the past. Very undervalued right now.
- Joe Burrow - Offensive line much improved but Burrow scored most of his fantasy points in 3 games last year. Best weapons in the league but limited rushing ability.
- Tom Brady - Top 3 QB last year. Lost weapons and offensive linemen hurt across the board. Still a very pass heavy offense but zero rushing upside.
- Matthew Stafford - Was very up and down last year fantasy wise. Elite weapon in Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson joining but no rushing upside.
- Kirk Cousins - New head coach will make this underrated quarterback even better. Should be more pass happy as a 4000 yard QB the last 6 out of 7 seasons.
RUNNING BACKS
- Christian McCaffrey - When healthy, the absolute number one running back bar none. Fully healthy once again behind an improved offensive line and quarterback.
- Jonathan Taylor - Highest floor running back in the league. Expect numbers to scale back with new quarterback and rely less on JT but will still be very solid.
- Austin Ekeler - Reception machine. Lack of competition in LA backfield keeps him high on the list.
- Dalvin Cook - New offensive system and injury risk could be a concern but could also be used as a legit weapon behind Justin Jefferson
- Derek Henry - The volume for Henry is insane. Was RB1 without reception upside last year before hurt. Offensive line decline and another year older brings him down.
- D'Andre Swift - Playing behind top five offensive line and has been a reception hog in the past.
- Aaron Jones - Could end up the top weapon for Aaron Rodgers now Davante Adams is gone.
- Najee Harris - Another pure volume back. Bad offensive line and new quarterback could scale back his 2022 performance from last year.
- Joe Mixon - Upgraded offensive line. Bengals want to establish the run. Not a third down back limits his ceiling
- Leonard Fournette - Was a monster the second half of the season. Outside of rookie Rachaad White, not much competition.
- Saquon Barkley - Coming off injury in a brand new offense. Could have a huge year under Brian Daboll. Best weapon on offense besides Kadarius Toney.
- Alvin Kamara - Will not get the receptions he use to in the past but still a big weapon for New Orleans. Off the field troubles are a concern if he would be suspended.
WIDE RECEIVERS
- Cooper Kupp - The wide receiver king of 2021. Massive PPR machine with receptions and yardage.
- Justin Jefferson - Expecting a huge year under new coach Kevin O'Connell. Massive ceiling for JJettas in 2022.
- JaMarr Chase - His rookie season was one for the ages. Has elite upside but does have target competition with Tee Higgins.
- Mike Evans - Losses of Gronk and AB turn always consistent Mike Evans into a top five receiver. Still pass heavy with TB12 and could command massive volume.
- Stefon Diggs - WR1 in the best offense in the NFL. Upset some last year with lack of huge games but high floor makes him top five.
- CeeDee Lamb - Young receiver in an offense where everyone else is injured or gone. No Cooper, no Gallup early. High ceiling player about to get a huge workload.
- Davante Adams - New team with target competition in Renfrow/Waller is concerning but is still a top WR in the NFL.
- Tyreek Hill - Another player on a new team with a downgrade at quarterback. Still has a massive ceiling potential but expect slight regression this year.
- Deebo Samuel - New quarterback could make or break Deebo. Came out that he didn't want to run the ball anymore but could still be a top WR if Lance hits his ceiling.
- Keenan Allen - Regressed each of the last few years but has always been a PPR machine. A lot of volume but is a floor player. Doesn't have a huge ceiling.
- Michael Pittman - Number one receiver in an offense with lack of weapons and upgrade at QB. Matt Ryan has made top 12 receivers every year he has played except for one. High upside.
- AJ Brown - New team but will have the opportunity to break out as Jalen Hurts number one receiver or be as good as he was in limited offense in Tennessee.
TIGHT ENDS
- Travis Kelce - Tyreek Hill gone leaves Kelce as the top target. A year older but is still the alpha among wide receivers.
- Mark Andrews - Hollywood Brown leaving leaves Andrews as the top target. Limited pass offense but still has a solid floor and ceiling potential.
- Kyle Pitts - One touchdown from last year should improve for this rookie even with downgrade at QB. Superior talent who is a personal favorite of mine this year.
- George Kittle - Has always been an up or down player. Can have huge games and also give you duds. We'll see if Trey Lance targets him but overall one of the best TE's in the game.
- Dalton Schultz - The only other weapon right now in Dallas outside of CeeDee Lamb until Michael Gallup returns.
- Darren Waller - Contract negotiations have me worried a bit but has been a top five TE in the past. Attention to Adams could open things up for Waller.
- Zach Ertz - Older player but top option in AZ outside of Hollywood until Hopkins comes back. Will catch passes but not have a lot of yards after catch.
- Dallas Goedert - All alone now that Zach Ertz has gone. Another year for Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown involved could help Goedert. Similar to Kittle, very boom or bust.
- TJ Hockenson - A round one drafted tight end in an ascending offense. Very up and down player.
- Dawson Knox - Touchdown machine last year and tight end in the best offense in football. Targets missing with departures of Beasley/Sanders.
- Pat Freiermuth - Known to just catch touchdowns. New quarterback could hinder things but still a weapon in the endzone.
- Cole Kmet - Literally the only other weapon in Chicago outside of Darnell Mooney. Should catch a lot of balls. Low ceiling but high floor with receptions.
